| Hi,
I'm (as a seller) trying to remove one regular item from the order (2 items
in the order totally). The order is already paid, but I and buyer agreed that
1 item should not be sent and refund for this item should be received.
When trying to use Order Item Removal Request form System responds:
Oops! There was a problem processing your request:
Order does not have valid order status for order item removal.
Is this because the order is already paid? Any other options to remove 1 item?
Should I simply issue a refund? Will then fees and paypal fees be recalculated
as well?

It's paid, you can't removed something paid.

You've to refund partially and do manual work, think not to pick this item,
manuall change the count of this item on BrickLink (because it's been removed)...
PayPal won't refund the fees, neither BrickLink.
The only other solution is to refund the whole order, cancel the order, and make
the buyer restart it from scratch.

But then you're losing ALL the PayPal fees, but the BrickLink fees will be
counted in negative ( "refunded" ).
Frankly, when I'm lazy and it's for cents, I simply partially refund
and ship anyway the corresponding parts, all this complicated process isn't
worth the 5 cents lost (for ex).

You can't remove items once the order is paid, you will have to issue a refund.
